Bloom's Blog 2022 - 4 ~ Publishing Agreement for Ulysses

The terms agreed were that Joyce would receive a royalty of 66% of the net profits. Sylvia Beach and Joyce decided on an edition of 1,000 copies, to be subscribed in advance, as far as possible. The first 100 copies would be printed on Holland paper and signed by Joyce: these would be offered at 350 francs each. The next 150 copies would be printed on another quality paper, vergéd’arches and would sell for 250 francs each. The remaining 750 copies would be printed on linen paper and would sell for 150 francs each.
One of the 1st 100 copies, signed by Joyce is now available to view in Davy Byrnes bar in #dublincity. Are you lucky enough to own one?
